The official excuse: interview five PHNs in five different municipalities in Samar. Early Sunday morning, I packed my overnight bag and rushed out the door for the fear that I'd be left behind by the bus.
I arrived just in time as the bus started to fill with passengers. It was going to be a looong day, going to different far-flung municipalities in Samar, but our only consolation was we get to stay at our friend's seaside house. As the wheels started to turn, I thought: this time tomorrow we are going to be lying on the sand relaxing...

@ pepe m: Conservative kasi daw kahit papano hehe! Yup Samar is a really great place.. Undeveloped pa mostly.. The islands we went to were uninhabited

hmmm.. samar. never been there. but i've been to maasin leyte. the ship bound for surigao made a stop over there. la lng.
@ chase: maasin is OK, pero samar.. hay I have no words to describe it.. It's the second largest island (tama ba ako?), and the nature attractions are the best

@ anonymous: calicoan, depends on where you stay.. surfcamp is around $145 a night ata, but there are nice cheaper, but clean places like tanghay view lodge and calicoan villa.. rates are around 2k+ a night
will definitely visit that island. =)
