Ouch, ugh, aww! I cursed my new shoes- they have been digging into the blisters on my ankles. Yeah, I got them yesterday, walking around in these blasted Pradda shoes. That’s not a spelling error by the way, that’s how the knockoff is spelled (sorry, can’t afford real ones when you’re on allowance).
The shoes are sleek and shiny, elegantly shaped, and they could pass for the real thing. The only problem is that they feel like they are made of concrete (the heels) and steel (the rest of it). No wonder my feet were all red and swollen by the time I went home yesterday.
Tok, tok, tok. They made funny clunking sounds as I walked briskly in the corridor. Crap, I see a couple of students heading my way- must stop the clunking. I stopped walking and pretended to check my notes.
“Hmm… Biochem at eight, Microbiology in the afternoon…” I look to the left, then to the right. Coast is clear! With much reluctance, I hold my breath and prepare myself for the pain as these Nazi shoes start once again to dig into the swollen flesh of my ankles.
Tok, tok, tok. I walked slowly towards our classroom.

@ scholasas: Thanks = ) though it's not always good, I do get into a lot of misadventures and some of them usually turn out to be good posts..
Thanks for visiting!
LOL. You know shoes are suppose to feel good, not bad. Whenever you put on your favorite shoes, you should feel sexy, powerful, and ready to take on the world. I suggest junking those Praddas. They probably gave you blisters anyway. Ciao!
@ john halcyon von rothschild: Good advice = ) I feel that those shoes have prepared me to wear steel boots or something. haha!
i love the commotion the thumping of a new shoes make, especially when one sashays in a shiny, newly-polished floor in a quiet peaceful hallway.
much better when you're wearing killer boots (my favorite footwear; aside from white rubbers, that is)
and oooh.., you're taking micro and biochem? microbio-parasitology is one of my most loved subjects. :-)
my shoes too got that tok-tok-tok effects..i dunno if my feet are just too heavy -- or its just the way it is..heheh :p
@ ruff: pareo tayo! and to think our Dean is the one who teaches Micro-Para. Biochem is facinating, quite enjoyable except for the occasional nosebleeds ;p
remind me of somewhat lotus feet.. lolz... :) i wish to feature you as one of the hottest guys in the internet.. could it be possible?
@ Portable Bitch: Hey Tonskie! Hottest guys? Me? I dunno bout that hehe! But it's your selection and I would be honored of course if I'd be included ; )
love it when my shoes makes those sounds... It sounds like the trumpets, signaling my arrival! Hehehe! keep it up thadie!=)
I dont quite fancy shoes like that in the picture. Way too formal for me.. I am more comfortable wearing flip-flops, sandals, and my Crocs.. Hehehe! ;-)
@ my so called quest: it's true, they are attention-grabbing! haha
@ daizuke: I'm a sneakers type myself, but black shoes are prescribed along with the uniform = ) I miss UP - super tsinelas lang ako minsan (I lived on campus) loL!
damn funny! hahaha
Flip-flop is still the most comfortable footwear for me. I wish I could wear it just anywhere.
yupz, sometimes we do have to choose style over comfort. scratch that, lots of times pala! but i guess new shoes always torture your feet. Once the leather gets a good feel of your footsies after several uses, the pain kinda disappears.;)
Forever fan,
stephy
:D
